The Kids from Rainbow Light Therapies practising 10 basic Tai Chi movements to help enhance their own well-being and to help alleviate their stress and anxiety!

This video from 2014, was formulated to help empower others to do the same and it was filmed, produced and edited by the children directly involved in the video itself.

They did an amazing job and we are proud of the results they have gotten from this video.

Let’s begin.

 

Calming the Waters

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

Step with your left leg on angle, bring your hands to your chest and gently rock forward, push both hands out and around and gently rock back.  Keep your back foot on the ground and your toes on your front foot come up as you rock back.

Rock forward, push both hands out, open and then rock back. (repeat 4 times)

Bring your left leg back in and your hands rest on a table.

Step with your right leg on angle, bring your hands to your chest and gently rock forward, push both hands out and around and gently rock back.  Keep your back foot on the ground and your toes on your front foot come up as you rock back.

Rock forward, push both hands out, open and then rock back. (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Pushing the Water

Turn your palms to the left.  Step with your left leg to the side and you push the water.  Turn your hands over and push the water back.  Move slowly and shift your weight from one leg to the other.

Bring your left leg in and your hands rest on the table, knees softly bent.

 

Over the Drum

Palms face each other about a heads width apart, step with the left leg and rock forward, pretend you are going over a round drum.  Rock forward and back, act like a train.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your left leg back in and your hands rest on a table.

Palms face each other about a heads width apart, step with the right leg and rock forward, pretend you are going over a round drum.  Rock forward and back, act like a train.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Ball in the Mountain

The palms open, step forward with your left leg, bring your hands up to make a ball in front of your face.  Rock back and let this ball of energy slowly break open at waist level.  Circle arms outwards and back up to the face to build up this ball of energy again.

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

The palms open, step forward with your right leg, bring your hands up to make a ball in front of your face.  Rock back and let this ball of energy slowly break open at waist level.  Circle arms outwards and back up to the face to build up this ball of energy again.

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Ball in the Valley

Let your hands float up to your shoulders, step with your left leg, circle your hands out and down to form a ball just in front of your belly button.  Pick this ball of energy up, raise it up to your neck and let it break open softly circling your arms back down to your belly button to form another ball.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

Let your hands float up to your shoulders, step with your right leg, circle your hands out and down to form a ball just in front of your belly button.  Pick this ball of energy up, raise it up to your neck and let it break open softly circling your arms back down to your belly button to form another ball.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Circle the Globe

Form a beach ball in front of your body, left hand on top, right hand on bottom and palms facing each other.  Step with your left leg to the side and shift your weight to the side, roll the ball over softly and then shift the weight back to your right leg, roll the ball over softly and shift your weight back to the left leg.  Keep your body straight, don’t move your arms, just your body.   (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Push from the Shoulders

Hands float up to the shoulders, step with the left leg and slowly push the left arm out.  Rock back and push the right arm out bringing the left arm in.  Rock back and forth swapping arms.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

Hands float up to the shoulders, step with the right leg and slowly push the left arm out.  Rock back and push the right arm out bringing the left arm in.  Rock back and forth swapping arms.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Push and Pull

Hands float up to the shoulders, step with the left leg and slowly push both hands out.  Rock back and turn the palms over and pull them in.  Exhale as you go out and inhale as you come in.  (repeat 5 times)

Hands float up to the shoulders, step with the right leg and slowly push both hands out.  Rock back and turn the palms over and pull them in.  Exhale as you go out and inhale as you come in.  (repeat 5 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Hands Waving Clouds

Put your left hand with fingertips in front of your chin and your right hand at your belt buckle.  Step with your left leg to the side, slowly shift the weight to your left leg then switch the hands and slowly move your body (not your hands) to shift the weight to your right leg, Switch the hands again.  (repeat 4 times)

Bring your feet together, softly bend at the knees, have your hands resting on a table.

 

Lotus Flower Closing

Open your palms, breathe in and raise arms outwards up over your head.  Hands come together as you exhale and bring hands down to your chest in prayerful pose.

Open hands into the lotus flower, breathe in and then as you breathe out, close the flower so you are making 2 fists.

Breathe in and push it out to the universe, breathe out, open your hands palms up and circle out.

Come back to prayerful pose “Namaste”.
