Managing Anxiety Starting High School
This Managing Anxiety workshop is for our Teens starting High school.
The aim of this workshop is to arm our Teens with stress management strategies to help ensure a smooth and calm transition from Primary School to High School.
Topics and flow of the day will be somewhat dependent on the participants themselves but the aim is for each participant to go home with a list of indivualised strategies that they can use at home in the week/s prior to starting school and also into the initial weeks of high school.
Strategies and topics open for inclusion will include:
* Breathing Exercises.
* Hand Mudras.
* Reframing Negative Thinking / Positive Affirmations.
* Mindfulness and Guided Meditation.
This workshop will also include practical advice and examples on:
* Streamlining and co-ordinating your timetable, school map and school books.
* Navigating your timetable.
* What to expect in the first few weeks.
This session will be a fun hands on workshop with a variety of visual, auditory, physical and verbal presentations and activities to cater for most learning styles.
The cost of this workshop for is $35 per child, Parents/Carers and not required to stay.
This workshop will be capped at 7 participants.
If this event cannot run here in person due to COVID-19 restrictions it will run online via zoom instead.
A minimum number of 5 participants is required for this workshop to run. If this number is not reached then the workshop will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued.
If you need to cancel, advance notice is needed to refund payments. A minimum of 12 hours is requested and a full refund will be issued (or transfer of funds to another event) if I can fill your spot.If your spot cannot be filled then no refund can given. (Special Considerations may apply to some participants so please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns).
