This workshop will be based on the original workshop with the obvious exception that it is now online and YOU will be teaching your child valuable stress and anxiety management techniques.

The event will now be moved online to Zoom, will be one hour in duration and will be limited to 5 parents/carers only to allow for individualised attention.
 

Parents will be sent a schedule for the session prior to the event start, a meeting ID for the Zoom platform and worksheets that the kids can complete after you have finished the workshop. There will be time for Q & A at the end of the workshop also.

Zoom is a free app that can be accessed on your phone, ipad, laptop or computer.

Original Event Information

Your child will learn and practise, proven strategies for managing stress and anxiety at school, at home and in all environments.

This workshop is number 2 in a series of 5 workshops and will be different in content to the workshops presented in January of this year.

It is open to children aged 5-11years and their parents/carers and is suitable for:  (Parents/Carers attend for free).
1. current and past students as a practise/revision session,
2. for new students and families as an introduction session and

Topics and flow of the day will be somewhat dependent on the participants themselves but, topics open for inclusion can include:
* What is stress?
* Stress and the brain?
* Where do I feel stress in my body?
* Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
* Breath Work.
* Yoga.
* Mindfulness.
* Qi Gong.
* Guided Meditation.

This session will be a fun hands on workshop with a variety of visual, auditory, physical and verbal presentations and activities to cater for most learning styles.  eg: art activity.

About your facilitator:

“Kim is the founder of Rainbow Light Therapies and is a Holistic Counsellor specialising in stress and anxiety management for kids, teens and adults. After her son’s autism diagnosis in 2007, Kim came to the realisation that the best way she could help her son and others who suffered similarly from stress and anxiety, was to teach him and them, how they could manage their own stress and anxiety. Long-Term medication could simply not be the ONLY option available. Combining mainstream and alternative therapies, Kim provides a unique, intuitive and individualised therapy approach to stress and anxiety management through individual, small group and family sessions and workshops. Kim also works with special needs kids and their families as an NDIS registered provider (Mainstream counselling only). “

The total cost for this workshop is $30 per child.

A minimum number of 5 participants is required for this workshop to run. If this number is not reached then the workshop will be cancelled and full refunds will be issued. If you need to cancel, advance notice is needed to refund payments. A minimum of 12 hours is requested and a full refund will be issued (or transfer of funds to another event) if I can fill your spot. If your spot cannot be filled then no refund can be given. (Special Considerations may apply to some participants so please do not hesitate to contact me with any concerns).

Full accreditation with IICT (International Institute of Complementary Therapies), Insurance, Working with Children Check and First Aid Qualifications assured.
